At Home Curriculum-Preparation Activities

Updated: May 20, 2021

In this series, we will cover a brief outline of all the activities that make a typical day of home practice. Keep in mind that each activity is kept very short(Maximum 5 minutes) while the total duration of the program does not exceed 30 minutes in a day. You can either do it at one go or break it into a few parts.

Preparation Activities

These activities are very important before the main program as they help switch the brain from left to right and relax the mind. Think of them as the warm-up before the workout.

The following activities are done for one/two minutes-

  • Meditation-Deep Breathing/Blowing Exercises

  • Playing Alpha Music-It is said that the Alpha state between Alpha and Theta is when the brain is at its most creative. This state is the twilight level of being in between wakefulness and sleep – which is something akin to daydreaming. The Alpha State is also commonly associated with enhanced ability. Many of the great minds in history have reported that it is in this state of relaxation that their greatest ideas “came to them”. For this reason, Shichida believed that children should be as close to the alpha state as possible when practising Right Brain Education.

  • Shichida’s Energy Ball exercise-This helps children to focus their mental energy and to prepare for the activities.

  • Positive Affirmations-Hug your child and say positive and encouraging words.

For in-depth details on each of these activities, enrol in our home-based program for children aged 0-6 years. Contact us to know more.
